Business expansion and awards success for Oxbridge Home Learning

The company has moved into bigger offices as part of its five-year growth strategy and has also been a finalist for a number of awards.

The learning provider, which helps people of all ages and backgrounds access a wide variety of educational courses, from bookkeeping to childcare, recently moved to larger offices in Faraday Wharf on the Birmingham Science Park.

The company was originally located in a smaller office in another part of Faraday Wharf, but this move will be crucial to helping Oxbridge achieve its ambitious growth strategy to generate sales of £2.5m sales in 2021.

While Oxbridge Home Learning is predominantly UK-based, around 5% of its business is in United Arab Emirates, Australia and Ireland.

The company has plans to grow this by the end 2023, both in these markets and others, with international enrolments forecasted to make up around 10-15% of the business.

On the awards front, Oxbridge’s founder and director, Matt Jones, has been shortlisted in the entrepreneur category at the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce’s Future Faces awards.

The company has also been longlisted for two industry accolades at the Learning Technology Awards, in the categories for Best Use of Blended Learning and the Best Online Distance Learning Programme.

Matt said: “Oxbridge Home Learning was only established in 2015 but we’ve achieved a considerable amount in a very short space of time.

“We have an ambitious growth plan in place and I’m confident we can achieve it because we deliver quality courses with flexible home study, providing people with the opportunity to study anywhere, at any time, at their own pace.

“The move into a larger office space will accommodate the future growth of the business.

“It was always our intention to remain both in this building and in Birmingham city centre due to the considerable advantages of this location, nestled in between two prestigious universities, including access to high calibre staff, excellent transport links, as well as opportunities to develop partnerships with other businesses and ventures also located at the Birmingham Science Park.

“Being shortlisted for these business and industry awards is very flattering, and it’s a testament to the hard work everyone here is putting in to make the company a success.”
