Sharp Electronics Europe Acquires Midshire
This strategic acquisition gives SBSUK national sales coverage, gives a presence in Wales and strengthens its ability to sell its growing portfolio of Business Solutions to the commercial and public sector.
Sharp’s Business Solutions range includes Document Solutions (multifunction printers, print management and document management software), Visual Solutions (interactive and professional displays) and IT Services.
Midshire is one of the largest independent office technology resellers in the UK with extensive Document Solutions expertise and is also a leading provider of IT Services, Visual Solutions and Hosted Desktop.
Midshire will continue to operate as an independent business under its own brand name, and existing management and reporting structures will remain in place.

Rival company Unique Copiers, based in Telford, said they had received calls from Midshire customers concerned about the takeover.
Owner Adrian Casey said: “It is a difficult time of year for a lot of Midshire customers as there will be a lot of staff absence in schools over the holiday period.
“People are understandably concerned that they could return in September and be unaware of any impact this could have on the services they get or the prices they pay.
“I have already heard from three people who have been left in the dark about the takeover and want to know more about what it means for them - even though I don’t know any more than is in the news.
“If Midshire customers continue to be concerned about the lack of information about this takeover it could be the perfect time to think about your supplier."
