Cold snap sees sales soar for Midlands manufacturer
The past year has been an exciting one for the manufacturers behind the unique fuel and money saving device Firemizer and fire lighting assistant Firebuilder, as it has seen unprecedented growth, in part thanks to the UK’s coldest winter in five years.
Brian Irvine, CEO at Microtex Products Ltd, said: “We’re set for another fantastic year, with lots of exciting opportunities in place.
“Although the cold weather and wintery storms have caused havoc for some, it has aided in our sales profits to date and we are on track for 2018 to be our busiest year yet.
"We have seen significant growth in the UK market over the last year, and we will be focusing on new markets over the coming months with exciting export opportunities in the USA, Canada and across Europe.”
Last year saw Microtex Products Ltd launch a brand new product to the market, Firebuilder, as well as recruiting across the business.
The team showcased both Firemizer and Firebuilder at Grand Designs Live at Birmingham’s NEC last October, and re-launched its website, aiding in the increase in sales and improving the customers’ online buying journey.
Brian added, “We’re looking forward to attending the BBC Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace in August, where we’ll showcase both Firemizer and Firebuilder and introduce the unique devices to new consumers and other trading bodies.
“We are also in the planning stages of bringing our entire manufacturing production of Firebuilder which is currently produced in China, back home to the UK.
“Despite Brexit and other economic obstacles, Microtex Products Ltd sees a bright future ahead.”
Firemizer is a unique solid fuel saving device manufactured in the UK by Microtex Products Limited and in the USA by Microtex Products Inc – both are wholly owned subsidiary of the Dynamic-Materials Group.
