Avecto’s growth continues with record results

The business, which also has offices in Boston, USA and Bad Homburg, Germany saw record revenue figures for the six months ending December 2016, up 83% on the same period last year, culminating in its biggest ever quarter in booked orders for the period October to December.

Helped by a commitment to developing talent and a successful graduate recruitment scheme, the company has also just appointed its 200th employee, and set an ambitious target to increase headcount by a further 20% over the next six months.

Avecto’s financial success comes after a year of achievement in 2016 which saw the company continue to grow its footprint on the global technology stage. The company’s endpoint security software, Defendpoint has continued to see significant demand from global organisations. In the last six months alone, Avecto secured business with a top consumer goods manufacturer, a global consultancy firm and Fortune 500 technology company among many others.

The business was recently named an official Northern Powerhouse Partner, helping to champion northern technology talent in the UK and overseas. Last year also saw Avecto listed as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, while it celebrated the first anniversary of its move to 30,000 sq ft premises at Trident, Manchester Airport and bigger offices in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Mark Austin, co-founder and co-CEO at Avecto said: “We have a culture of high achievement and ambition here at Avecto and these latest results are a great reflection of that. The whole team works tirelessly to grow and drive the business forward, and it is testament to everyone at the company that we’ve seen such a positive set of results at the half year point.

“We continue to invest in our software, our people and our working environment to ensure we stay one step ahead of the competition, and keep Avecto at the forefront of the cyber security industry.”
