Yorkshire retailer goes global with ethical approach to Christmas
In a bid to showcase that ethical and environmentally-conscious shopping does not need to only incorporate tie-dye, dried leaves and hemp, luxury corporate gift specialists, bow.gifts, have unveiled their online store and Christmas brochure, leading with a strong vision for changing the way business, conferences, and event managers shop this season. Bow.Gifts also donate 1% of all orders to a charity of the customer’s choice.
Businesses spend thousands on Christmas each year, many on unwanted items, branded ‘throw-aways’ and packaging waste. To combat the environmental impact that Christmas has, leaving over 300,000 tonnes of packaging waste alone each year, Bow.gifts has specifically sourced products that have the environment in mind. Their aim is to deliver a thoughtful offering this festive season, helping business to reduce waste, shop ethically and recycle. The company is also offering the opportunity to give back through its online incentive reward scheme, allowing customers to turn their rewards bows into charitable donations.
CEO and founder of Bow.Gifts, Emily Newstead, commented: “Many hospitality and events based companies have chosen to take a long, hard look at the environmental impact which businesses have, assisting customers, delegates and employees, to help reduce their carbon footprint on a daily basis. But there is still room to take this even further.
“Shopping over the festive season, for colleagues, clients and events can be stressful in just making the ideal purchase, not least considering the environmental impact of your choice at the same time. But that is why we are here to help. We’ve done the hard part, the research, and use biodegradable and re-usable packaging - all working towards enabling environmental change, and giving that little bit more this Christmas.”
Voted corporate gifting supplier of the year 2018, Bow.Gifts is taking this pledge worldwide - already shipping to over 20 countries, with further expansions planned.
