Sustainable energy business triples profits thanks to support from the Growth Hub
Matrix Energy Systems, a provider of renewable energy solutions, was searching for support to enhance their growing business.
After approaching the Growth Hub they were offered in-depth one-to-one support from a business growth specialist, who helped them to work smarter and more efficiently. The business was already growing and turning substantial profits, but needed support to develop a new sales and marketing process.
This one-to-one support was available through the Sheffield City Region Growth Hub Enhancement Project, which offers support aimed at high growth companies in the Sheffield City Region and is financed by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
Matrix Energy Systems director, Paul Leedham, said: “The Growth Hub helped us identify and profile our customers and develop ways to target these more effectively.
"They challenged the way we do things and made me think about how we can develop and optimise what we do.”
Matrix also attended enhancement project masterclasses aimed at developing the businesses sales processes and offering practical ideas to drive more revenue.
Paul continued: “The Masterclasses were good, I enjoyed them. They were very beneficial and I can see the value they have to my business.
“Thanks to the specialist and the masterclasses, I can clearly focus on what I need to do to grow my business. We have tripled our turnover and we are set to triple our turnover again at the end of the next financial year.
“My experience with the Growth Hub was easy and seamless. I would not hesitate to contact them again in the future.”
Thanks to their financial growth Matrix are currently recruiting two additional employees to support the new demand.
The Growth Hub Enhancement project can offer businesses both free intensive one-to-one support and free masterclasses to help develop businesses across the Sheffield City region.
